The primary duty of the Committee is to review the analyses and findings obtained as a result of assessment processes within the framework of the established methodology, criteria, and scoring systems and to make final rating decisions. The Rating Committee reviews the reports and scoring results prepared by the analysts involved in the assessment process and examines whether the assessments have been conducted in accordance with methodological rules. In this process, the Committee checks the accuracy, consistency, objectivity, and adequacy of evidence supporting the assessment results. When necessary, it requests additional information or clarification and ensures that rating decisions are built on sound data and evidence.
One of the fundamental responsibilities of the Committee is to ensure that the same methodological approach is applied to all organizations. In this way, the comparability, reliability, and transparency of assessment results are maintained. The Committee contributes to the standardization of decisions by eliminating differences in interpretation that may arise during the assessment process and preserves the integrity of the rating system. At the same time, it ensures that assessment results accurately reflect not only current performance but also the overall maturity level in the fields of sustainability and innovation.
In addition to assessments conducted in environmental, social, and governance dimensions, the Rating Committee also reviews the results produced within the scope of the Corporate Innovation System (CIS), Corporate Sustainability System (CSS), and other assessment models and forms final rating decisions. In this process, the Committee evaluates organizations’ strengths, areas for improvement, and performance levels from a holistic perspective.
Independence, impartiality, confidentiality, transparency, and accountability are adopted as fundamental principles in the Committee’s activities. Committee members take care not to be involved in any relationship that may create a conflict of interest with the organizations being assessed and make their decisions solely on the basis of assessment criteria and verifiable data. In this way, the reliability and objectivity of rating results for all stakeholders are ensured.
The Rating Committee is not directly responsible for the development of methodologies or the conduct of analytical assessments. While these duties are performed by the relevant expert teams, the primary role of the Committee is to review assessment results from an independent perspective and to form final rating decisions. This structure strengthens governance quality and institutional reliability by ensuring the separation of the assessment process from the decision-making process.
As one of the most critical elements of the scientific organizational structure of SusdeX, the Rating Committee contributes to the production of reliable, comparable, and objective rating results for all stakeholders by preserving the quality and reliability of assessment processes. In this way, SusdeX provides a rating system with high standards of reliability in the field of measuring and assessing sustainability and innovation performance.
